Meet the blogger – 20 questions

I’ve only recently discovered these posts but I’m obsessed with reading them at the moment so I thought I’d join in and do my own.

What’s your favourite book?

I have so many I don’t know where to start! I’ll try to narrow it down to just a few – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, The Da Vinci Code, The Help and I’d probably put To Kill a Mockingbird in the mix as well even though I hated it when I studied it for English Lit at school.

What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?

That’s a tough one! I’m so indecisive it’s going to have to be a three way tie between Nutella, salted caramel and cookie dough. Preferably all three is one cone.

What’s your most embarrassing childhood memory?

When I was about 5 my mum told a boy in year 6 that I loved him (because I did love him). He took it really well unfortunately my mum said it in front of all his cool year 6 friends at our village carol service and they never let me live it down. I honestly still cringe thinking about it.

What are your 3 favourite TV shows?

  • Friends
  • Brooklyn 99
  • Ashes to Ashes

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?

Antipaxos just off the coast of Corfu. We stopped on a boat trip we went on to go swimming in the bluest waters I’ve ever seen. I took this photo from the boat and it’s been the screensaver on my laptop ever since!

Meet the blogger 7

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My pupillage! I decided I wanted to be a barrister when I was 16 and I’ve spent the last 7 years working incredibly hard to get my dream job. Pupillage (the final stage of your training to become a barrister) is painfully competitive but on my second attempt I managed to get the one I wanted and now hopefully I’m not too far away from qualifying as a criminal barrister. Being a homeowner at 22 comes a pretty close second.

Who would you like to live like for a day?

A Premier League footballer. I absolutely love sport, especially football, and I’d love to spend a day seeing what their training, nutrition and general life is like. Plus having that much money for 24 hours wouldn’t be a bad thing either.

If you could ask your pet 3 questions what would they be?

  • Do you get bored just sleeping all the time?
  • Do you miss me when I’m not at home?
  • What goes on in your little brain?

Meet the blogger 4

When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?

Train legs at the gym, it’s like therapy for me, a nice hot bath and then a big bowl of pasta for dinner, probably followed by a glass of wine and some chocolate.

Using one word how would you describe your family?

Reliable

Who is the kindest person you know?

Soppy answer alert but it has to be my boyfriend. He’s honestly so thoughtful and caring, he’d do absolutely anything if he thought it would make me happy.

Meet the blogger 6

What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen?

Probably The House at the End of the Street with Jennifer Lawrence. It’s not outright terrifying but once I worked out what was going to happen I was not happy!

Who’s your celebrity crush?

Max Verstappen. I absolutely love F1 now but anyone who knows me will know that the only reason I started watching it was because of Max!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I actually did a whole post a few weeks ago on my travel bucket list, but I think my ultimate holiday is an Australian road trip.

If you could shop free at one store for the rest of your life where would it be?

Whole Foods! I love it in there so much but I basically need to remortgage my house just to pick up a couple of snacks which I fancy. I’d love some kind of Whole Foods black card so I could just go wild every time I was in London.

As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

A doctor. I watched a lot of Casualty when I was younger and that was the dream. Then at 16 I sat in the public gallery of Crown Court for the first time and the rest, as they say, is history.

What’s your favourite day of the week?

Friday. There’s nothing better than spending the whole day with that Friday feeling and the first sip of a gin & tonic after work touches my soul.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Emma Stone. Easy. I’ve given it a lot of thought and I think she’d be perfect.

What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?

Celery, it tastes like stagnant water and I just can’t face it.

What’s your pet peeve?

I have a lot; people who take up the whole pavement so you can’t get past, people who eat with their mouth open, middle lane drivers on the motorway… I’m going to stop there because this could turn into a rant!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, let me know if you’ve done your own because I’d love to give it a read.

I lovvvve F1 too! Max is such a fantastic driver. I am basically the same too for an Ozzy road trip – I thought about doing it on some motorbikes, finishing up just in time for the first GP of the season. The perfect weather… ☀️x
